RS President Milorad Dodik and China’s ambassador to BiH, Mr. Dong Chunfeng, attended a ceremony yesterday to mark the commencement of work on a new, 300-megawatt thermal power plant in Doboj.
Total investment [for this project] amounts to 600 million euros (779 million U.S. dollars), with loans from Chinese Development Bank and other commercial banks from Europe, according to EFT. Dodik, during his speech at the ceremony, said the project is important to the local economy, especially in time of economic crisis. Deng, meanwhile, noted the project will enhance economic cooperation between China and BiH.
