BiH Census Accused of Dividing Bosniaks – BalkanInsight

Five Bosniak Muslim institutions, including the Islamic Community and the Bosniak Cultural Community Preporod, on April 25 sent an open letter to Zdenko Milinovic, director of the Bosnian Statistics Agency, complaining about the upcoming census.

The Islamic organizations seem to be concerned that the multitude of options for self-identification on census forms will weaken “Bosniaks” as a constituency.

The census, planned for October 2013, would be the first to be conducted in 22 years. It has already been postponed once.
