BiH Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Trisic-Babic met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in New York this week.
Trisic-Babic thanked Ban Ki-moon for his visit to BiH in July 2012 and his personal commitment and work on issues of human rights, particularly women’s rights and gender equality.
They [also] discussed the internal opportunities for BiH and the region, as well as BiH’s aspirations for the EU and NATO.
Trisic-Babic emphasized that BiH currently lags behind countries in the region in the context of Eurointegration, and underlined the importance of finding effective solutions and instruments to exit this situation. At the same time, she added that any progress by countries in the region positively influences and serves as a driving force of these processes in BiH, the Public Relations Office of the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
