In an interview this week, Turkey’s ambassador to BiH, Ahmet Yildiz, said that the wellbeing of his country is linked to progress in BiH. He criticized BiH leaders for getting embroiled in political crises rather than working toward solutions.
Mr. Yildiz also said that Turkey would like to see a BiH that is not dependent on the international community and has no need for the Office of the High Representative, but that Turkey supports the OHR’s use of the “Bonn Powers” when necessary.
