Federation President Budimir met today with SBB President Fahrudin Radoncic in Sarajevo as part of ongoing negotiations over the composition of the Federation’s government. President Budimir expressed willingness to cooperate with the coalition parties, but stressed that he would not give guarantees or “grant wishes” concerning the removal of incumbent officials.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador Patrick Moon and EU Special Representative Sorensen issued a joint statement calling for compromise between Budimir and the coalition parties. Both sides, the statement said, continue to make “unrealistic demands.” The statement continued, “continued stalemate serves no one. We now need to see an agreement that truly serves the best interests of the citizens of the Federation.”
