In an interview with Al Jazeera, RS President Milorad Dodik said that the RS should not be a “prisoner” to limitations imposed upon the entity’s government by outside forces, or to the dysfunction of the BiH government. He also criticized the Office of the High Representative and the international community for trying to grant new competencies to the government of BiH, outside of those established by the constitution. “I want BiH to function as stipulated by the Dayton Agreement, without the decisions imposed in the meantime. I have nothing against such a BiH,” said Dodik.
Mr. Dodik also spoke about the RS’s proposal to disband the BiH armed forces, saying that there is no reason why the RS should not be able to put forward such proposals. “When we launch an initiative, it is sufficient for the High Representative to go before the UN Security Council and turn the initiative into an incriminating act, which is unacceptable,” he said.
