Former chief mufti of the Islamic community in BiH, Mustafa Ceric, was named president of the newly-established World Bosniak Congress last week. The Congress was set up to serve as an international lobby for the trans-national Bosniak community.
Ceric, who in the past has drawn criticism for his involvement in political affairs, said that “Bosniaks have to protect themselves…and to achieve that, they have to have an organized, responsible and powerful state.” He continued, “we come with our heads up, with no fear and no apologies or excuses to anyone.”
