Husein Effendi Kavazovic, previously the head mufti of Tuzla, was sworn in yesterday as the chief cleric of the Islamic Community in Bosnia. Speaking at a ceremony in central Sarajevo, Kavazovic said he “[wants] to continue all the good and useful practices of the former Reis….We shall focus the consciousness of Bosniaks on the issues of security and welfare in society and the country, and education and science development will be encouraged too.”
