After a long delay, Camil Durakovic has been announced as the winner of Srebrenica’s mayoral election. Durakovic, a Bosniak, told Reuters that his victory was due to the success of an absentee voter registration drive. “If it wasn’t for this registration of voters, I would have never won,” he said.
Serb parties, led by the SNSD, are hoping to have Durakovic’s victory annulled.
