RS President Milorad Dodik presented a plan to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska calling for the dissolution of the armed forces of BiH and the demilitarization of the country. According to President Dodik, the military creates an undue economic burden on the entities. Furthermore, Mr. Dodik claims that under the Dayton constitution, the BiH government has no mandate to operate a military force, nor do any threats to the security or sovereignty of BiH justify its existence.
