SDA, SDS Win Most Mayoral Seats in Bosnia’s Elections – BalkanInsight

BiH citizens went to the polls this weekend to vote for local officials. In Republika Srpska, the opposition SDS party more than doubled the number of municipalities under its control, while President Dodik’s SNSD was left with mayoral victories in only 15 municipalities, down from 41.

The SDA party, which earlier this year was forced out of the ruling coalition in the Federation, came away with 34 local seats.

Voter turnout was high, with an estimated 56% of eligible voters casting ballots across BiH.
