Continuing to resist the removal of its ministers from the BiH government, the leadership of the SDA says its members will not boycott today’s session of the BiH House of Peoples. The SDA’s coalition with the SDP ended earlier this year, prompting SDP and other party leaders to call for the removal of the SDA from government. The SDA lacks the votes to block passage of measures in the House of Peoples, but does have enough members to prevent the assembly from reaching a quorum without them.
SDA leader Halid Genjac said that SDA members would not follow such a course of action, however. “The SDA deputies have always fulfilled their obligations in the government,” Genjac said, “We will come on Thursday.”
SDA leaders have also said that since it was their members that brought the current government to power, Council of Ministers Chairman Bevanda should resign if he seeks to remove SDA ministers from the government.
