A growing rift is becoming visible between the Federation’s two leading Bosniak-majority parties, the SDA and the SDP. SDA ministers voted against the proposed 2012 budget in Wednesday’s Council of Ministers meeting; the SDP and Croat HDZ parties support the new budget, as do the leading parties from Republika Srpska.
The dispute over the budget foreshadows a larger power struggle between the parties in both the state and Federation governments.
