In the midst of ongoing discussions over the political future of the city of Mostar, High Representative Inzko suggested in a public statement that the international community would respond to any challenges to the city’s unity. At least one political party in the multi-ethnic city has put forth a proposal to divide the city into self-governing, homogenous enclaves. In response, Inzko reportedly said, “Mostar has got too far and its citizens and the international community has invested too much effort for this to happen.”
